nope, was using oil a bit when i got it its just getting worse :cry: was using about half a litre a month now it will use that in about a week.

 

been told its possibly cracked ringlands as it spat the dipstick out once.

That's a lot of oil consumption (unless you drive 3000 miles a week ;) ) Mine barely needs topping up in 6000 miles; it's done almost 90k now......

I have an auto tt with 128k on the clocks and hasnt needed topping up since I serviced it! mite just swap the engines over :rofl:

why dont you take it to a zed garage?

I thought Pauls engine was spot on like

i would steer clear, nismo didnt make metal head gaskets for the 300zx so something is wrong LOL

its only done 50-odd thousand miles so i dont get it either, wheres closest to us that i could take it? i keep meaning to borrow a compression tester from somebody at work :(

was going to contact this bloke as he is in colchester.

 

think my prob is internal :( .

 

if i picked that engine up for 1k with all that wrk done to it i think i wood be quids in.

 

but u cant see and hear it running and with my luck it wood prob be fooked :smash: .
