Probably shite but if its only a little over 50quid im willing to give it a shot! What does everybody else think? I have found a similar kit on ebay.co.uk for 300quid and the only difference is that its Leatherette not Vinyl! Please let me know what you all think

Thanks

Depends on how saggy it all looks when fitted, in all honesty id be worried about sticking it on with sdhesive spary as i reckon it would just peel away in the hot weather and might be quite hard to get it fitted and look like it does in the pics

Leatherette is no worse/better than vinyl. It's still a plastic substitute for leather and is not nice to the touch like leather is.

I personally would rather cover my seats in Tesco's carrier bags than put vinyl seat covers on it.

This is horrific....

I've got one of these kits but i still haven't even thought about having it fitted!

I personally think the quality is better than you think for the money but no one of is stiched up, it's just cut to suit your car and you either have to be brave and do it yourself or get a pro to do it!

pmsl @ funki si i looked at this kit the other day seems like he has had alot of good reviews but it is really shiney think you would squeak alot getting in and out of the car lol

Leatherette is a posh way of saying vinyl which in its self is a posh way of saying plastic with a weave backing.

All plastic stretches and sags under heat and pressure. The interior of a car gets hot in the sun and then has to bare the warm presure and body weight of the driver and passengers. It will look shite in no time what so ever. That why car makes don't use it these days. Velour will keep its shape hence main material used for furnishings and leather actually shrinks under heat and therefore looks better with age if it is feed frequently.

So a definate No from all parties then :D Okies no worries! Will save my cash and get the good stuff!Looked at the stuff from Zworld and i dont mind paying for all the gear its just so expensive to get it fitted plus i want the Door card, pillars trim too and it all adds up super fast! Can anybody fit these kits for a nice price??

Guy nearby me (Pro Upholster Store) said like another 500quid to fit!ANything better out there?Or does anybody want to make a few(Well abit more than a few :P) quid on the side??

:) On the plus side it is real genuine italian vinyl..... ffs

This is what a decent kit fitted by a pro looks like :D :D

If only you could smell it and feel it

WHOA! Where would you get something like that done mate?! Cost?!!!

Kit came from Nipponauto (E-bay) and fitted by a local vehicle re-trimmer.

Additional leather was also purchased to match the seat covers to re-cover all the original tweed panels and to make up the switch panels.

Did some of the work myself, ie removed and refitted all the panels, stripped panels of the tweed and cleaned the old glue off, stripped seats ready for kit to be fitted and re-fitted everything once done.

Cost??.....................Less than a grand but more than a monkey ;)
