Wishbone help!

Took my car for its MOT and was told the Bush on the upper front wishbone was badly worn. The MOT man said you can't change the bush on its own, you need to replace the whole wishbone.

Nissan want £156 each(thats for a UK, I have an import)!

Anyone know where I can get one at a reasonable price?

JeffTT has polyurethane replacements. I had him fit some for me a few weeks ago. The arms can be reused, only the bushings have to be replaces.

Forgot to mention, there is a noticable differenece in handling now. Very worth while upgrade.

Cheers mate.

I'll ask him. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it?

I bought the complete polyflex kit for the whole car and it wasnt much more than one of those arms from Nissan.

Johnny at grasshopper, but i dont know if he will have them in stock, he had to order mine so could be a prob if your in a hurry

I have recently fitted a complete kit which is was supplied by Johnny (also from Luke at the Z-Centre). The parts list is shown here http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/geoff/17334.pdf & the price is on the Z-Centre site.

My "old" torsion control bar bushes (which I think are the ones you are after?) were only just fitted literally a couple of hundred miles before, and my garage still have these for me (Kingston SW London) as they are effective new. These were Polyuethane supplied by Chris Wittor (I have the company name, Number & Site details at home) and sold alone - around £45 and need press fitting into the existing arms.

It's the upper wishbones I need, not torsion bar.

JeffTT has now told me this is a Nissan only part frown.gif

OK, here's what I can do:-

For around £300 I can sort you out with a set of upper links with uprated bushes in them - these will have to be on an exchange basis.

These are uprated bushes which means the geometry will stay within spec even under high load. They will also last a lot longer....

Let me know - z32@btinternet.com wink.gif
