You must have noticed how your car acts like a magnet for street urchins. You must have experienced these questions before so I have prepared a FAQ for you with translations so you can always have your answers ready.

 

"What ya had out of it?"

Translation: Whats the maximum speed of your car?

 

"is it chipped?"

Translation: Have the fueling and ignition maps been modified to accomodate higher boost pressure?

 

"Its a fairlady isnt it?"

Translation: I know what it is because i seen one on Gran Turismo

 

"Does it spin?"

Translation: Can you break traction with the rear wheels to impress the 14 year old girls sitting outside the local Spar drinking cider.

 

"Will it blar a cozzy off?"

Translation: I have never driven any fast car so I use the cosworth as a benchmark because my freinds have told me that they are fast.

 

"What size is it?"

Translation: Whats the cubic capacity of the engine?

 

"Av ya got nos on it?"

Translation: I have seen a dodgy copy of Fast and Furious and want to sound technical.

 

"Ive got a mate with a cozzy thats chipped 't' fuck. Ya should see it gan, it blars ferrari's and all sorts off."

Translation: My freind has a rusty sapphire cosworth made from two different halves that cost him 3 grand, Its got a bleed valve fitted and almost does 140mph before the temperature gauge hits the red.

i have a bud in JHB that runs 12.9 in his UNO Turbo so they can be tuned to fly.

I had two 'knocks' on Monday. Both were hillarious

First one, A456 heading towards Sandvik (Halesowen) a riced out Civic gets right on my ass!! So I gas it in 2nd & 3rd and ease off when Wendy says 'Enough Now!!' rice boy is now a spec in rear view LOL.

 

After all that, went to a pub, and on way back stop at traffic lights on A456 near to Audi garage. Up next pulls a Saxo with 2 kids in. I weren't going to race them at all because of having my family with me, so lights go green, pull away in 1st and short shift to 2nd, saxo gasses it, edges in front, I slip clutch in 2nd ( no time to change down) and go past him

 

I think the problem is, most people just dont know what Zeds are. The young kids do from playing GT.

 

Ahh well, thats another couple of boy racers educated!

I only use the brakes so I can accelerate all over again.

My mate has a Saxo VTR or VTS - whichever is the quickest one and he is amazed at the speed of my Z. He says he is getting a Z or something else with a big turbo next.
