Anyone fitted these before.

Got one and it looks like there should be 2 holes for bolting down.

On mine there is only 1 hole, the other has a threaded stud welded into it.

Being a stud you cant turn it so I dont know if its just for locating or what its for?

Is this right?

pic attached.

Cheers

Is it one of Lukes refabricated ones Bud.If so it will be right as I have one.

I bought one from eBay and it looked nothing like that. In the end I couldn't work out how to fit it, so it's still in the box. Reckon it's the wrong one actually.

hi bud ...

have a word with silverbullet as he machined one himself ..!!!

..

hello bud, the one u got probbably has 2 bolts and 2 holes, as far as i can remember it does fit, bit of a pain but will go, u need to be quite flexable and bloody good with a spanner or you will keep dropping it on to the heat shield. make sure you use lock tight or even better locking nuts otherwise you will find after a while they will come loose, HTH

and dont use the naff nylon bushes that come with the ebay kits, problem is you nipp the nut up and it bites in to the bushing causing tight gear changes.

It must poke through a hole and the nuts underneath. The other hole must be a stud already fixed to the car and you pop the nut on the top.Its years since I fitted one of them from Luke to my Zed and can't quit remember. But it aint rocket science.

Just had another think LOL.Maybe the fixed stud is because if the stud was poking through the other way the same as the other side it might fowl the handbrake fixing plate if the nut was on top.

That looks exactly the same as mine with the stud.Mine isnt a short shifter though but I spent 3 hours stripping out to change the bottom bushes but when I got to that point I had to give up as my hands are far from dainty but be careful its so easy dropping the spanners I finished up tying a length of fishing line to mine so I could retrieve them when I dropped them. Best of luck fitting it
