Since hearing a few stories being banded about about engines going bang etc. I am starting to think that it's not all it's cracked up to be!

 

My car looks good now and to be honest I think they are fast enough as stock...Twin Tubs I mean. I've done the zorst, intake and ECU but am seriously going off the idea of big engine work and fuck off big hairdryers!!!

 

I know that it's all about 0-100 and 1/4 mile times etc. but why spend 20K to get your time down by about a second?

 

I'm not slagging here, just my opinion but am interested to see what other people reckon.

 

Or is it just that there aren't enough decent tuners in this shite arse country to set them up properly once you've done the works! Forged pistons? Car has them as stock, Blueprinted crank etc. Recircs that are more upto the job than most BOV's to around 500/600 bhp...I dunno...just that after all the money I have spent on getting my car right I think spending another 10K or so on big turbos, injectors, intercoolers just to have it blow up in spectacular style is not my cup of typhoo...get me drift?

Sell the Z and get a Supra, then go to http://www.suprastore.com and check out their HP increase kits. I wish I had a Supra and $33,000 LOL!!

Mmmmmmm. Would like to believe 1200bhp for 20K but find it hard to believe. You can't knock the 1/4 mile times but I'm so sure theirs more to it than writing a cheque for 20K and having it turn up in the post.

 

Mind you my wife likes Supras so you never know.

 

Yeah thats my baby in the pics. Have the new Top Secret Carbon bonnet now. Don't make it go any faster but it looks like it does, he he. Reason I got it was the improved airflow, mated with the under bonnet shroud, that improves cooling and keeps that nasty hot air away from the engine. Well thats what I've been told.

 

Should have me engine done within 6 weeks Warren so should be able to keep up with me mate, hopefully.

 

Also are you's guys going to the Hickstead Show ?

The meet on the 7th July is at Hickstead. Daz GTi-R, who goes on the GTR board is arranging it. You guys MUST come along as all us Nissans gotta stick together. Here's the link for the info we have so far:

You were parked next to the guy selling the novelty stuff in that white tent I think. My Merc is Gunmetal grey and was parked behind you guys only on the Saturday matey.
