PICS ADDED

Well finally got round to re-trimming the interior panels, so gone is the nasty tweed

Must say the door cards were the hardest to do :( took a few attempts to get it right but it's all good in the end!

I bought 5 Meters of Leatherette and even with the mistakes i made i still have a fair bit left, although it's about 1.3m wide so wide enough to do the door cards length ways.

So all in all not bad,

a little brake down of the costs.....

5m of leatherette £25.00

3 cans of proper upholstery spray glue £6.00

6 mini packets of super glue £0.99

4 meters of T.V. aerial cable £0.69

So all in all £32.68 with enough left to do the visor over the dials and the boot install!

Saved my self about £300 by not buying a kit! ok i still have to do the seats but with the money i saved from doing this myself i can buy the seat kit :) and i have a feeling of satisfaction because i have done it my self!

will put up pics later Mrs is down visiting My mum for a few days and has the camera!

Used the cable as piping. because it's really hard to get the material right up in the small gaps between the lower and upper parts of the doors,so get the material in as far as you can and then stick on the piping to cover any gaps

To answer the question where i got it from, the super glue and tv areal cable from my local pound shop the upholster glue from a carpet shop and the leatherette from ebay user name : bargain_fabrics

i'll see if i can get some pics on my phone.

the 3rd pic shows the pipping aka tv arial cable! ;) ignore the yellow bits,i sprayed them cos i was going to go yellow inside but it would be too hard to match the paint work so they will become white it the next few days ;)

not a professional job but i'm well pleased with it, just need a white hand brake gator now.... any one know where i can get one?

Neil

Looking good, and yes those door panels are a real pain to try and get the material looking neat in the gap.

I found the inside rear quarter trims quite hard to, due to the shape of the panel !
