I'm just about to remove my bootlid and replace with a new one. Do I have to pull out all the T-bar lining to get at the nuts?

And is there any pitfalls I should know about?

Cheers Rob :)

yep, 4 bolts to undo :) Just need 2 people as it's quite heavy ;) Firstly remove the inner boot lining so you can unclip any connectors. Next undo the 2 pistons arms first while the boot is propped up and try to make sure there's no pressure on the bolts when you undo the arms as they can strip. Lower the boot and then undo the 4 bolts hinges. Move the boot slightly back so you can remove the wires and then lift the boot off :)

What you may also find is when you remove the main 4 nuts for the tailgate, the brackets are stuck in place with sealant. if they are, then carefully cut round it with a stanley knife to break the seal.
