Yeah looks ok, i am tempted to buy one of these myself, but its always a worry what the fitment is going to be like with ebay stuff....

John

Think if ure goin to fit a front mount like I will be soon, u should save up for a well know make. My 2p. Looks good for the history of the car aswell with top tuner parts.

Looks like a copy of a HKS one at less than half the price, Chinesse probably but a mate has fitted a similar one to his skyline & its great, not much to go wrong really :)

Ive got one, no complaints, fitted in 2.5 hours with no problems, Front bumper pff, standards out, re-locate horn a little, cut off towing eye, fit, bumper back on, drive away!

I want one but I don't want to take the front bumper off its not standard and was a bitch to put on, I'm scarred of the paint cracking.

Is it possible?

seriously thinking of getting 1 of these been looking at it for days deciding wot to do! sounds like a gd deal

Went to a tuner yesterday who's just taken one off a Supra TT as it actually lost power on the car. The guy was also charged £900 for it by another company for it!! The problem with it wasn't the fit but the cores were crap.

It does look good, and it cant be worse than the tiny things fitted as original..So has to be OK.

sorry mate but that is where your wrong. Agreed the stock ic's could do with being a little larger, in depth thats why their is the GReddy side mounts. A nice front mount looks the nuts but CAN infact cause a power loss, so size isnt everything its all to do with cooling the air sufficiantly without causing too much pressure loss, and a large front mount on a relitively stock engine can cause it. Your better off buying uprated side mounts to be honest.

No dissrepect Carl :) but not always true, just MHO though :)

Thats why i said CAN and not WILL. Also you have to take into account the plumbing, pressure loss is possible if the angles are too sharp or the core is too small especially with cheaper versions. The stock IC's are good to 1bar anyway, but as said before bigger side mounts will make a difference. Dont get me wrong though i like the look of a nice shiney big front mount but its no good having 1 if it dont do anything except look good or it hinders performance

To be fair mate, the operative word here is "copy" and the word "HKS" is simply used for selling puposes.

A couple of tuning companies now have done I/C tests on Evo's an Scoobies, both purchasing known copies of ebay as well, in tests preformed which were published showed that of the ebay copies tested (4) 3 showed no decrease in intake charge temps and the remaining improved by just 3%.

The 1 main reason for these findings were poor quality and inefficient cores, though 1 kit did have badly designed pipework, bends equal very long tract lengths!

Now I have not the faintest idea if the above I/C is same or not, alls I will say is, you will get exactly what you pay for as regards ebay coolers, adding of course, the average joe soap, will never know if it's actaully doing as claimed, until the bang of a piston!!

Dont want to start to much about this, but a mate works at Calsonic down here in Llanelli & hes had a look at one copy not the exact same one mentioned here, & got the thumbs up :) & its running on a mates R33 with no problems whatsoever

pay your money & take your choice

HKS etc are only expensive in the UK elsewhere there great value just MHO of course, & not intended to slate anyone :) or start trouble

Made from cheaper materials no doubt, but if it works to the advantage its a bargain, and i will get 1 as well. Be nice to hear of the results if anyone buys 1 :)
