hi guys the problem is that when car starts from cold its firs up instantly and doesnt smoke, but as it warms up it smokes a little until it reaches normal temp then its fine dosnt smoke at all, but if i give it stick and stop at lights or park up it starts smoking again theres no smoke at all whiles im driving not even a little. can anyone shed some light on this problem tnx

Have a look through here fella http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=89044&highlight=pcv and search for "smoking" if its not the PCV's there may be something else that comes up.

Sounds like rear oil seals on the turbos to me fella. Could be wrong try changing the PCV's first. And make sure you've not got too much oil in it!

Get them back in, not fixing the problem as such, but its at least prolonging the life of the seals, (and therfore turbos before they require a refurb :))

well the cats were f**ked neway they had nothing in them, and yes i gess it did start smoking after that, iv been told using thikr oil should sort the prob!! is that true? iv got 10 30 millers semi in there i think. loll

which seals will it be and how much ££££ am i looking at? also who sells pvc valves could give them a try first as they have never been changed..

i got pcvs off miKe feeney, and hoses from zed world but miKe is cheaper, the valves were a few quid, its the hoses that cost and i thinK you need them if yours are old as they will be hardened and brittle when you get them off, i did 2 side hoses and valves and 2 front hoses with the brushes in them. i thinK the parts are about a ton altogether.

i hope so aswell, i found out the oil i used on my last change was 5 30w millers is this too thin? iv been told to put in 10 60 motorsport oil which is recomended for turbod cars!! is this ok?
