my gearbox went bang few days ago..

 

i have managed to source one local...

 

but now its finding sum1 local (ish) to fit it for a decent price...

 

any help or advice would be appreciated...

saikoracer may know someone as he lives in that area.

Sure his brother does the work on his car. Jazzy, Saiko lives out by Dudley hill,

dudley hill isnt so far from me at all... in the other forum smithy said should cost more than £150 fitting - most back street garages could do it as it is simple job ?? lol, not simple for me... hopefully saikoracer will see this thread any maybe help lol.

Its not a bad job to do, I think me and Greg did a swap in about 2 hours!!

Providing the exhaust comes away from the manifold without snapping bolts, its should be fairly simple. Remember to take the whole gearbox loom out with the gearbox!!

i just called around 3 places... the first said £300 the second £350 ish and the 3rd £200 - the best so far but cant do it until late next week, my hols will finish by then an i''ll be back at work! lol

his garage is in keighley no problemo on the help front glad to be of assistance i take it you didnt fancy a manual conversion then lol ill buzz him for ya and get a price it shouldnt be a massive ammount he likes zeds ( good job as mines spent more time over there than in my garage )

no idea. on another post, some1 has had it fitted with no problems.. but seems very very cool. i'd love it haha.
