Radiator leak possible solution

While I was working on my car today, a guy came in offering a water based solution that acts like Radweld but cos it's water based, you don't get the sludge build up. It fills the leak and then the rest stays in the cooling system untill it's flushed next. Also said it's a solution for a damaged heater matrix. Anyone ever heard of anything like this?

    ime allways sceptical about filling your water system with spunk of any kind,iff it fills the leaks what else does it fill and block :confused:
