First is the clutch, possibly.

Drove to cardiff from bristol with no silly stuff parked up outside my mates house for 20 mins and when i got bck the car the clutch was really heavy and it felt like it was slipping in 3rd but only in 3rd. got back to his house and left it for about an hour, when i got back in it was absolutly fine and no problems since.(?)

on the same day and a few times since ive got out of the car armed the alarm and the left hand indicators have stayed on and have had to turn the alarm on and off a few times to get them off.

Anyone?

not sure that the 2 problems are related but (usually)for slipping clutch...do you have any freeplay in the pedal when pressing down or just very little if so the pin would need adjusting a nadge on the top of the clutch pedal arm....alarm probs are way out of my league...bad earth possibly..or its telling you something like a diagnostic for a open switch somewhere in the circuit

HTH

Not unknown for under dash alarm cables to drop down into the clutch pedal area and get caught up in the mechanism, could be the cause of both problems, worth a look.

normally if the clutch is slipping when hot it normally indicates a new one is soon needed, when the friction plates cool the make better contact. Check the rear oil seal is ok and not leaking! You can tell when it fails as it will drip oil between bellhousing and engine.

Clutch is only a year old, changed along with the release bearing, rear oil seal, centre bearing and rear gearbox mount at ZTech.

Alarm indicator thing happened once before. It's the indicator relay that's either getting sticky or is moving around and getting stuck next to a magnet. I spoke to someone about it and they suggested just cutting the indicator wires (the beeps will let you know if it's armed). However it started working again before I had a chance to do so and it's been fine recently.

Oh and the clutch pedal did need adjusting once as if the pedal's in the wrong position, the fluid heats up and the clutch starts to slip. Probably just needs adjusting again.

Hope this helps,

pop down and we will put it on the ramp and have a look sometime but it could be just a split in a vacum pipe or oil from the rear main on the friction disc !
