How do you fit a double din cd player in a Z?

My Z currently has the two seperate cd player and radio (standard nissan) i want to take them both out and put in a double din cd player...

 

Do i have to cut the middle plastic bar between the two or can i get a suitable double din surround...?

    i have seen threads showing them for sale in japan... they do exist but im not aware of a uk supplier. they are available in differenet effects too such as carbon fibre or wood effect! im sure sum1 will reply to confirm the uk availability of these :)
