Sold my zed a few months ago now in order to buy either a cossie, evo or a skyline in that order, but now for £ to £ value i wish id never sold the zed!

 

The escort cosworth is nowhere near the build quality the evo is just not for me and the skyline is well over priced for the quality im looking for even to come close to my old zed!

 

So im now lost, :confused: and might end up with another zed :bow:

thats the qaundry im having at the moment, do i sell, do i not, i really want an evo7, but i may miss my zed to much

i was after the evo 8 but its just does not excite me enough to look at, plus i know a couple with gearbox problems as well!

 

If i went for another zed id buy a well spec'd wide arch if i came across one and for the kinda of money the others where gonna cost me id have a minter!! :bow:

Then ud have to go n look for another one, mine was a minter to low milage and in my fav gun metal grey, id find it hard to get another as good

I did that. Went out and sold my Zed to get something else more extreme and performance orientated, but then missed having the Zed for the speedy comfort and roof off action (not that there's been any summer). Its all very well having speed and handling (not that the zed doesn't have them, just that I wanted something more track orientated) but I missed the Zed experience on the road. They are so cheap now that you might as well have both! The Zeds still more expensive or tricky to maintain though! I thought my gearbox was dodgy on the new Zed but it turned out it was just a loose exhaust hanger. To get a new gearbox would have been £500. I can blow the rex's gearbox and get another for £250. Same prices for the clutches. I replaced the Zeds one when I got it as it felt slippy and it was £500 :0 Still its still worth while and I appreciate it for its GT abilities much more now I'm not hankering for something faster.

value for money the z really takes beating. Guess we all crib about values gone to shit, but like you said absence makes the heart grow fonder ;) evo looks dated, skylines got an almera interior. Only car would tempt me away from my little honey is an Audi A8 with all the extras. don't know what it is about them, maybe i've watched ronin too often

there is only one other car for me, and its a Ferrari. And even there it would have to be the scaglietti so no chance there then, and the chance of me selling teh zed. None at all.

 

WWhy on earth do i want a car that has a computer to do all the driving, sod that.

Wow thats a nice picture of the Ferrari. Its always horses for courses or me. Zed for the road, esp long journeys. Rex for the fast twisties and tracking. They both do what they say on the tin for me. I think its easy to overlook what they are made for.

at least you satisfied yourself trying something new, to truely appreciate how good something is, you need to have been subjected to how crap something else can be to really understand a good thing

Hope i dont star a war by asking this but has any of you guys had any experience with supras? turbo of course.......

yeah i did, i chose a zed over one lol

why did u go for the zed as to the supra and is there much power difference?

it was more power to pounds tbh

 

supra i went to look at was not well looked after, horrid walnut interior so i weighed it up and i got a zed in better condition for a lot less coin. I beleive Supra has a stronger engine but power wise not much in it

 

some might correct me there though

have never drove one, do like the look of them ok and would think they would be a bit eaiser to tune being straight
