And not forgetting having the ECU chipped and re mapped. You wont get any more boost out of it if you still have the stock chip even with a EBC and the stock fuel mapping wont give you the extra fuel needed either

crikes cant believe i forgot about that! the amount of times ive posted about ecu maps!

safety is 7 stock is 9ish give or take.

Stock turbos manual or auto will drop off at 15ish PSI, TBH I wouldn't run stocks at any more than a bar for safety and they dont flow much after anyway on the stock setup.

Whack a couple of welding tips in the pipes or get a greddy, but be warned, anything over 10psi on a stock motor with higher than 70k will kill it much quicker.

oh yeh think someone already said on the forum, but rather than running turbos at max chat, better to have em a few psi under, do the IC's gut the pre-cats and have bigger d/pipes on will aid spool tons.

No, soon to have an air filter, dump valves and a decat, but thats it
If you decat your car and then wind up the boost you can say goodbye to your tubby seals fella. Unless you've got money to replace them then don't even think about decatting, remember these cars are 15+ years old now. However most still do and then end up complaining that their tubs have gone and they ain't got the dosh to repair them. A few have had to sell or break their car after doing so.

Safety boost 5psi, standard boost 7psi, extended boost 9.5psi :) on stock tt
7psi is safety and 9psi is standard :slap:
so how do you actually up the boost? im running standard boost and fancy a little increase

It all depends how far you want to go, if its just a 3 or 4 psi increase then its explained in the last page, ie ECU chipped and re-mapped, Electric Boost controller fitted, (Boost can be adjusted) other alternatives are Boost jets (cheapest option, but can cause Boost spikes) or using a manual Boost controller (not recomended) I wouldnt go much more than 12psi on a stock engine, IC's Injectors, Tubs. Once you start getting near the 1bar mark tubs, injectors, IC's are starting to get near their maximum. You could fit bigger IC's too which will also help

Yeh there is a good chance tubby seals will go a lot quicker with a total decat, mine was on 70k and lasted like it for about 2 years before they started to go but I think I was pretty lucky.
