Hi,

Just thought I'd pass this on. I bought an electric 2 ton scissor jack off ebay and to my supprise I'm quite impressed with it. It'll fit under a 12cm sill so is no problem for a standard Z. I still haven't got my Z back so can't say if it'll get under a lowered Z but I'm hoping it'll get under the front of the car. It rises to 35cm so had a side up in the air no probs (both wheels). Takes just over a minute to get from min to max and is remote control which is pretty cool :hyper:

I've asked if they can get any more if anyone is intrested :)

Vijay

Graham, you're absolutely right, this is the mail I just got back from him "The jack is designed to lift 1 front or 1 rear wheel at a time, the rated load weight is 1 ton, but with 2 ton capacity"

so how heavy is a 300 zx ?

Yup!-agree with that mate but still wont trust lifting the van at one corner!

Been 2 ton then yes! ;)

You need a lifter mate like this :p

For sale :D

Mine arrived via CityLink this morning.Very, very pleased with the whole kit and its fitted case.Well worth the money. As previously stated your not lifting all the car at once so is well up to changing wheels as required.I would defo recommend buying one.

2 wheels for the price off one then :mac1: yes its normal to lift both wheels in one dependant on where you insert it on the sill

Say Hello to My Little Friend!

Recieved my jack kit today.. What an excellent bit of kit!!.. Well happy with it, and a right bargain!!

Many thanks again Vijay for sorting this

i got mine, all looks very nice,

i was reading the instruction manual, not something i usually do, there is a graph of max weight against height of jack.

it apears that when the jack is at a height of 12cm (my sills jack point being 12cm off the floor) it's lifting capacity is zero. at the point where it starts to lift my wheel of the ground its capacity is still well under 500kg

it also states " overloading is forbidden"......seems to lift the car ok though :)
