Hi,

Just thought I'd pass this on. I bought an electric 2 ton scissor jack off ebay and to my supprise I'm quite impressed with it. It'll fit under a 12cm sill so is no problem for a standard Z. I still haven't got my Z back so can't say if it'll get under a lowered Z but I'm hoping it'll get under the front of the car. It rises to 35cm so had a side up in the air no probs (both wheels). Takes just over a minute to get from min to max and is remote control which is pretty cool :hyper:

I've asked if they can get any more if anyone is intrested :)

Vijay

How much is the final price ? Wouldn't it be easier to send all the cheques to one place i.e. to you and then send them all together.Just a suggestion. :D

£47. The problem with that mate is the first person to send their cheque will have to wait till the last person sends theirs, so might have a longer wait for their delivery :(

Vijay, Why doesnt he put them up on ebay with a buy it now price rather then everybody having to use cheques and faffing about with you trying to run around doing all the leg work.

He could email us all as to what time he will list them and then just do it through ebay.

Just a thought fella.

Agree with Spongey..

Also, I would prefer some sort of payment protection ie Paypal.. I'm not big on sending cheques to people I don't know, and trusting them to send parts.. Sorry, been seen off before, just a bit wary.

totally understand guys. I think he's just trying to save on ebay/paypal fees. Might be worth just bidding on his aucions, it'll just cost a bit more.

I'll email him saying that people will only pay by paypal and see what he comes back with :)

hi vijay i have just ordered mine by paypal thanks for all the good work you did getting this together for us fonz

I'm a bit confused!-just read the e-bay specs on the jack and the rated weight is 1000kg(1 Tonne)-for a 2 ton car??

So that still makes the jack 1 tonne then??

Wanted one for the Transit,if it was 2 tonne!!-bugger :o

I'm a bit confused too, the packaging says the same thing, capacity 1 ton, supply 2 tons car use. I did confirm with him before I bought mine that it lifts 2 tonnes

I presume it is a 1 tonne jack (like most small scissor jacks) but is ok for a 2 tonne car because you don't lift the whole car on one ickle jack, do you ;)

i.e. you usually have the other wheels on the ground taking most of the weight.

Yup!-agree with that mate but still wont trust lifting the van at one corner!

Been 2 ton then yes! ;)

Graham, you're absolutely right, this is the mail I just got back from him "The jack is designed to lift 1 front or 1 rear wheel at a time, the rated load weight is 1 ton, but with 2 ton capacity"
