Can anyone give me some advise on the difference between Nissan Datascan v1.5, Nistune, Conzult and Zemulater. I kind of understand some of there functionality, but I am not sure which is the best combination or solution. I have a laptop that I am going to permenantly mount into the Z32, and I would like realtime datalogging and remapping

Conzult is far dearer that Datascan. I have Datascan and it seems to tell you everything you need to know. I know nothing about the other two.

I use Conzult and a ostrich emulator from moates.net, conzult provides real time map trace (and allows you to datalog...more useful if you're doing road tuning) and you can use whatever program you like to edit your files...just download emulity from http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/ and it will upload any change to the file in real time if thats your will.

But this is old school stuff...now you can have both in one package http://home.aanet.com.au/nistune/

I never tried it but i'm seriously thinking in getting one :)

Thanks for the welcome. South Africa is 6000miles and three lousy meals on an aircraft away. my family is yorkshire bread and somewhere in the 60/70's decided to look for more sunshine. some family have gone back to london, but form me it's all about sunshine and fast highways.

Hex , i am think along the same lines as you. The Nistune looks like its the one.

My Z is a shell on a rotisserie at the panelbeaters for custom work and a complete respray. I like the mcLaren colours. should have it back in 6 weeks

ohhh someone from my side of the world!!

Hoe gaan dit met jou? :D :D :D

Welcome!

Gee this just gets better. It looks like we have more people from the Boerewors belt than i expected. I feel like i am at home. Where any of you in SA.

Just a very old joke for members who were in the club, when the last ice age started to thaw :D

is that like me asking you do you know charles, william or henry. Or is it more like "do you know a bob?" in 40 million people

lmfao @ topless! Lock him up now!

lol @ Boerewors belt - nothing better than some wors and castle!

Not from SA ..... zimbo here! Neighbours ;-)

:D :D

Does anyone know a fella called Warren :D

wazza, aka 300z - aka buy my 500bhp modded zed for £10k to find its nearer stock :x:

Cool, Although Zim is a bit of a buggerup right now, but i don't think that it was your fault, something to do with a looney president. SA doing well, small steps in the direction of progress, but good ones. There are a hand full 300's in the country, but no die hards. I think it is the best car in the world and i love the mountain of technical resource available. When i am finished i hope to do sub 12's 1/4 mile and still look hot at the end of strip. Right now i am preparing wiring requirements and what electronic tech i am going to install in the car when it gets back. Buy the way whatever happens in life the all blacks better not win the world cup. so we need to stick together

you have email! :D

Can't be many Z32s in SA? Are most imports or were they available on the domestic market?

z32 where sold in SA through Nissan from 1990 until I think as late as 1994, however most where in 91 and 92. I think a total of 400 where sold all in all. Parts are available through Nissan SA. Allthough go-fast parts generally have to be specially ordered and thankfully generally not much more expensive than other vehicles. Supra's, GTR, Mitsubishi where all imports not through the manufacturer and seem to draw bigger price tags in all aspects and are very limited in availablity. Subaru's became popular from 98 onwards. The best model available even to date on the new ones is the 2000 STi VI in my opinion. B22 was not availbe in SA. The poplular nissan are 240's and z200. Our country seems to be in love with German products especially the expesive ones. 3 series BMW competes with Toyota and VW the two largest vehicle movers .

Anyway, anyone have more suggestions on my original request
