I have a very loud and rather embarasing squeek coming from my rear end :x:

its in time with the revolutions of the wheels but i can't destinguish that is coming froma specific side.

Its only under power not breaking. That includes coasting (in an auto) at low speed etc

Doesn't seem to change if i pull the handbreak up a bit

Could it be a warn bush making puting the axle in a slightly wrong position??

Or the handbreak disc or pads (if it has them??)

Diff???

I'm sure its not coming from one side.

have your brake pads got squealer tabs on them ? some brands have tabs on the side which make a squealing noise when the pads wear down.

just a thought

I'll take the back end apart this weekend and have a good look. Yeah good to meet you too, i have a couple of pics of you on the start line and a vid of the run with the vanquish although quality is a bit poo

bloody vanquish did you see him jump the start? i was just level with his rear tyre when we went over the line..

i have demanded a re-match cos i would kill him if he didnt have an illegal start..lol

mail em if you can bud speedfreakzx@homecall.co.uk

I get this as well. But mine happens all the time and is more of a whoosh-whoosh sound. Gets ever so slightly quieter when warm. Makes no difference whether I am accelerating or coasting. Doesn't get any louder the faster I go.

As far as I know squealer tabs/wear indicator tabs are only on the front pads not the rear. Never had any tabs on any rear pads.

Fill.

sticking handbrake, iff like mine it never gets used being an auto (put in park)

its like a crisp packet is stuck to the wheel? I get that.

My rear brake pads DID have the "wear indicator" which is supposed to rub against the disc and squeal.

I'll have a good look this weekend. The sqeek is not constant but at a sertain point in the revolution of the wheel.

Are you certain it is the rear mate, mine was doing exactly the same thing, I took the rear end apart and found nothing, took it to a garage and they found nothing on the rear, but said the noise was coming from the front pads, changed them and the sound went.
