had my car rolling roaded today and it put out 356.9@ the flywheel with around 385ftlb torque, i was hoping for closer to 400bhp as i have seen better figures with less mods, i was going to upgrade to 555's so i could run more boost but was told i cant run anymore than 1bar(which im already running) without causing det, would upgrading to 555's give a performance increase or is it just for peace of mind ie knowing there will be sufficient fuel for 1bar boost? if i want to run more than 1 bar i will have to upgrade the pistons and if im upgrading the pistons i might aswell uprgade the con rods aswell and so on and so on to make labour costs more effective, how much would i be looking at to have my engine rebuilt to cope with around 500 bhp?

ย

mods already done are: upgraded turbos, ugraded smic's, stainless exhaust with de-cat, hks induction kit, hks bovs, hks boost controller, jdm chip

ย

could i get closer to 400 with 555's and chip to match? or should i just save up and get the whole lot done at once?

Sorry didn't know you had cadpauls car, yes they are HKS turbos, although they are the basic model which was the next upgrade from stock I believe!

i was running 12 psi and got the same results as you almost , my route to 400 was lightened flywheel and full underdrive pulley set and another 2 psi of boost i realise you dont have the boost to use but think about the other 2
