No idea whose it is but personally if you are looking at a Japanese model I would go for a manual.

Whats the main reason to get a manual? whats wrong with the import auto?

Cheers mate.

i have always had jap auto's and never had any problems. Its a great box.

Jap auto's don't have coolers and tend to break once in the UK due to higher loads from longer journeys.

Because manuals are so much better fun!

Because manuals are so much better fun!

sorry guys, but having owned both and driven at least another 20+ of each, including half a dozen that were being converted from auto to manual for a true before and after comparison - manuals are definatly much more fun and noticably faster.

i found my auto more fun than my manual.

Would that be becuase your Manual had a very iffy engine with zero compression ! lol ;)

why?
If you think an auto is better you obviously can't drive......or something was seriously wrong with your manual

Of course there's so many people doing manual to

AUTO conversions these days

225BHP is that all the 3.0 v6 is chucking out. I may have to re think my plans I wanted something that is going to fly, My current car Volvo S70 T5 is throwing out 254BHP I know that is a 2.3 Turbo, how easy is it to get a 3.0 v6 N/A to around 300bhp or is this not really possible am I better off going for a Twin Turbo?

Cheers for the advice much appreciated.

Matt.

you would be better looking for a TT tbh. I'm happy with my auto for long journeys and the traffic on our roads these days and i can still have a lot of fun in it !

As has been mentioned though... if you do go import auto... get an oil cooler before you mash a gearbox ! i had one on order and didnt get it before the fast show at santa pod, on the way back from there (about a 2 hour drive in 23 degree heat) the traffic on the M1 and crap like that caused my gearbox to give up and leave me with only 1st and 2nd gears !

If you think an auto is better you obviously can't drive......or something was seriously wrong with your manual

pmsl mines an auto ;) bloody quick one too ;)
