hi guys,

i got some bad news. i was involved in an accident at 2am this morning; some pedestrians ran across the road and i swerved out of the way to avoid them, and i went into a roadside barrier. i had the car transported to a damage repair specialist i know of...

to think the amount of money i spent on the car in the past year... and it may now get written off. atleast no one got hurt i guess... what can ya do eh...

I`ve got a 2nd hand wishbone, steering rack and other bits and bobs from the front suspension laying around, and in this case, free of charge if it helps ! Glad you are ok.

Alan.................

Good man

:( Sorry to see, glad nobody hurt. Hope its not as bad as it looks. Unfortunatly if you go through insurance they are almost certaintly going to write it off, but if you repair yourself it may not be too bad.

Oh no!! Mate that's terrible. You're ok which is the main thing. Such a shame though. A very low mileage UK Z in imaculate condition too. :(

My sentiments too...... :(

Losing a fine Z like that is pretty bad but at least you are not hurt.

Hopefully the insurers will let you repair that one as in pre-accident state your car would easily fetch a premium.

I did see a UK spec manual on an H plate with a genuine 29k miles on Auto Trader last week for £6995 so who knows?

Good luck mate.

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

looks a write off mate :(

sorry to see, was a sweet z, but glad your alive and well!!

Glad you are ok!

Sorry to hear about the car though! x

I would have run the fekkers over......... :x:

Would have been less damage to the Z. Limbs break and shatter, crash barriers don't.....lol

dear god

glad your ok mate.

christ, not good.

really hope you get it fixed matey, i would have just run over the f@ckers did you get there details?? are you able to claim against them??

Just seen the tread   ......................so sorry mate...........i'm not too far away, if theres anything I can do let me know !!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was pretty shaken once the accident actually happened, i was probably in the car for about 1 to 2 minutes before getting out, and the pedestrians had ran away. there were no witnesses either, and the car was pretty much blocking one lane so i couldnt exactly leave it there and look for the fookers...

the cops were pretty understanding and helpful (once I showed them my press card), and after taking statements etc they didnt even give me a producer.

i'm hoping so badly that this isnt a writeoff... if it is i'll buy the car back and probably sort it all out myself.

Gutted to see this mate. It's always a shame when things like this happen. At least no one was hurt.

Alan well done buddy. This is what this site is all about and it's good to see some community spirit. If the front brakes are shot then I have a set of standard front TT calipers disks and pads that I will throw into the mix. I see you have the brembos which may be harder to replace quickly.

Good luck with the insurance.

Darrell

I'm so gutted for you dude but the main thing is you and everyone else are not hurt... Good excuse to get some new vented wings now and upgrade those damaged parts... She will live again! ;)

Jesus mate, not good :( Only just logged in and seen this after getting back from Glasto. Such a damn shame to see good people go through this kind of sh1t. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's salvageable.
