Looking at gettin the mrs a private reg for her subaru... we looked at all the S600OBY and variations like that but decided she wanted one that she could use on any car...

 

Her name is karen but is often called Kaz, Kazza, Kazzy etc... so the first obvious choice would be to go for an irish plate starting with KAZ, but the 4 number would always be random and we can never find one with 4 numbers that mean something like birth day/month/year etc.

 

Having a browse on the dvla webby i found this 1...

 

i think its pretty cool but im not sure whether a KAZ with 4 random numbers would be better. I like the way on the above reg that every latter number is part of the personalisation if you catch my drift?!

 

Does any1 have any other ideas of registrations that would be appropriate for her?

her middle name is louise and i sometimes call her KAZZY-LOU... i just applied for the auction of the reg... K422Y LU... its unassigned but they said once applied for they have to put it up for auction!

IMO go for the Irish "KAZ" plate - it doesn't matter that the numbers following the letters do not mean anything.

 

K88SSA means nothing and IMO does not look like a personalized plate; in this format, only those with one number look personalized and only then with the earliest prefix letters (say A-H, but specifically A, B, D). The best one is obviously K4 REN but that is probably ££££££s!

 

All the others look like cheap "wanna-be" private plates.

get KAZ with 2 numbers, maybe for year of birth for example. mine is SAZ 17. but the 17 means nothing, it does look a lot better than 4 numbers though imho

id say sensibly about 5/600 bucks so were limited to whats available not what we want :(

lol indeed, we looked at gettin her a KAZ plate a few years back when they were still 2/300 quid but because she only had a crap car she wasnt interested... DOH!

would appear ive made a grand!! seems like they are a good investment
