stopped at a dealers today and had a good look around one of these,1989 and cant believe how primitive it was  mechancle fuel injection,255/50/16 wheels on the rear (same as a zed) allthough it was a very nice looking car is was when you get your nose in the crooks and crannys you can see a lot of late 80,s fiat and interior bits that you would,nt put in a kit car, also engine out jobbie to change the belts so all in all not very impressed except the looks  . but given its asking price its not a lot of £££ for a slice of history which ide happly give over £25,000 for it to sit in my garage and drool

heres a piccy of one but not the one i was looking at which can be found at a dealers in helsby in cheshire

the testarossa,s pedal box is so cramped i take size 13 and push the 3 pedals at once

I always like the 'rossa when I was a kid. I used to draw it and I've even got a painted clay model I made lol! That and the Porker 959.

most of the ferraris I have driven have been great untill you have to get out and walk after. Baring one which was a 4 seater, but in the main they arnt a comfy car, but thats not what your buying them for.

Havent been in any of the present day stuff except a marenelo and a scaliati.

i was lucky enought to get to drive one of these for the weekend and god it was awful to drive, pedels too close, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too wide and just not a nice car to drive.

girls dig a ferrari though ;)

had a great weekend that weekend in abersoch :D

magnum was a 308 gtb, loved that car one of my fav ferrari's, the tesstorosa is a wide fooker

What he said - Magnum's Ferarri 308 gtb is now in "Cars of the Stars" museum, Keswick (along with several Bond motors, the A-team van and an original KITT)

Tubbs & Crocket drove a Testarossa in Miami Vice....

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

THEY GOT FERKIN BIG FEET.

how was the 1991/1992 512TR testarossa? wasnt that almost entirely re engineered with a 400bhp+ engine?

they got one in a dealer just round the corner from me along with a countasch, but i dont think they'd let me in the showroom lol

i would have it if it had zed badges on then sell it as a zed look alike for a give away price

Lmao, don't forget to quote the extra 100 bhp when ya sell.

Not the 92/93 model (512TR). Only when they introduced the 94/95 F512M did things change.

An ex-girlfriend's father had a 93 512TR as well as a F512M. I personally preferred the former with all its flaws and issues - much more in keeping with Ferrari's of that day and age. The F512M has questionable styling (esp. the fixed headlights and wheels) but was a superior car in the quality stakes. Also spent a lot less time getting fixed after a drive ...

If/When I get the funds a late model 512TR is definitely on my shopping list :) It's a beautiful car albeit a ******* to drive.

I'm sorry to be really picky, but Magnum drove a 308 GTS, S = Spyder (Soft Top)

:D

Yes that one.......... :D

Sooo many variants I don't know which one is which - I just know it's a 308 GT something......... :o

you have to be the right build for a ferrari, luckily i am lol. as mr hammond said the zed was buld for the americans so it is a comfy car for the bigger gent. the 300zx dwarfs me but having been lucky enough to drive a testarossa once, i felt quite snug in there.

really would like a 355 spider god they are gorgeous been looking at prices and damn it way out of my league, what about running costs, if its more than the zed then im screwed LOL!!
