I went to a local garage today with the z, because their advertising board said 'Specialist in Jap cars'.

 

When they saw the 300, the joint owner said "Errrr... we don't touch these ones".

like they did to my car, which has been at a specialist now for a month being rebuilt, after nissan mad a pigs ear of changing the cam belt. going to be great when i get it back though....hybrids now installed!

I've been touring the local garages to find out who has the most experience with 300ZX. I want to prevent fuck ups with garages, I gather quite a few have been caught this way.

If it's of any help to those in the neighbourhood, I've found Nissan UK Dunstable in Bedfordshire to be very helpful and knowledgeable about the Zed. They've got one engineer in there who specialises in them.

To be fair the 300 is the most complex car i have worked on. Adn for the price that most people here are willing to pay i dont blaim people for not touching them !

 

Seriously some jobs are piss easy and dealers will still charge a arm and a leg for them - that is what pisses me off !!!

 

58 quid for a Oil Change .... yeah you have to the pull the engine for that !!!!

Yeah, I use hypertech (or will be shortly). Duncan knows his stuff.

 

If you never look around..... I just got excited when I saw 'Jap Specialist'.

 

I've only ever seen one Z in Central region! Couple in Edinburgh and one on the way to Edinburgh.

 

If there is a few, perhaps a social gathering?
