Want to go away for a weekend in a few weeks with the wife and cant think where to go.

 

Must be nice, must have nice bars, coffee places etc etc

I'd suggest something slightly different from the norm, although still within Europe.

 

Have a think about these, Oslo in Norway, Munich in southern Germany, Gothenburg in Sweden or Nice/Marseille in the South of France. Only place I've not been to on the list is Oslo. Munich is great, a nice clean city with lots to see and do. Nice/Marseille areas on the South Coast of France speak for themselves, Gothenburg is very nice as well, some beautiful buildings.

 

I'd also like to go to Reykjavik in Iceland. Have a strange fascination with the place.

furthest im getting is Scarborough this year, fish and chips are good though

depends on how far you want to go but new york is great for long weekends, seems to be all the rage at the moment to go for long weekends, some lovely places to eat. little italy was my favorite to eat, lots of good shopping and places to see

Barcelona for a bit of sun as well, or Brugge, Brugge is lovely medievil town plus you can take the car

I agree with Prague, a great place (and romantic) and loads of brothels :rofl:

iceland or prague gets my vote :)

Venice is wonderful, Paris of course, Budapest is a really nice place very picture esc especially the old city of Buda, Barcelona is a must go place as well or if you want something with the French chic then Lyon is very special and the food capital of the world.

My mother's side of the family are Hungarian and most live in Budapest. Have been there quite a few times and can vouch for it. Lovely city!

 

Shame you're taking the missus Mike as there are some incredible looking women there. ;)

get up to the lake district mate....top roads and its stunning your missus will apreciate the asthetics and the peace and quiet and the money you save instead of going abroad you can spend on your car
