I rather like the idea of one of those, £65K is a bit steep though ...

Nice little vid, the GTR never seems to be in front though! I'm looking forward to the launch, its got a lot to live up to. Just need the new Rx7 now to show them what a sports car really looks like

Sory. Id rather have teh porker

well a 911 turbo is £98k so £65k for the nissan isn't that bad. the nissan looks stunning IMO. anyone want to buy a kidney?

My problem with the majority of sports cars at the moment is that they are all getting so big and heavy. They need 500bhp to go the same as a 15yr old car with 300bhp :-(

The other car its going to be in competition with is the new Audi R8, which Evo mag reckon is better then the 911. Thats a pretty tall statement as nothing has ever beaten a 911 in tests in the mag.

In went round their test circuit faster than a Koeniggsigg (sp?)

Newer cars also have to deal with Tougher emission regulation's too :headvswal Most of our Zeds didn't have too! except for the later ones!

It has a competitor.......

Showdown 2008: Nissan GT-R to Meet Lexus LFA on Corvette's Turf

AutoWeek, deep into its future products predictions, reports on a couple of Japanese performance cars that could redefine the sportscar landscape. The first is the long-awaited, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R, which AW says will arrive as a 2008 model. It'll largely be a competitor to the Chevrolet Corvette, immune from Japanese competition for decades, and priced in the $60,000 range. From Lexus, the LF-A -- introduced in concept form at the 2005 Geneva show -- will reportedly vault the brand over Porsche in the sports-car wars. To be unveiled in fall 2007, coinciding with the Japan Formula One race moving to Toyota's turf, the LF-A, says AW, will get a 500-hp V8, not the V10 as had been in the works. The price had been reported to be $170,000, placing it in range of Aston Martin and out of the range of all but the most well heeled. Set your calendars now.
