Had this with mine. Check that all the connections inside the bulb holder are ok. There are pinch clips which don't always make contact. Get at them with a pair of tweezers or something and just generally look at the other connections and make sure their fitment is tight.

Pretty much as the advise above.

I sell quite a lot of these clear side repeaters and often find that the bulb connector either need prising apart or even moving over in order for them to make contact with the bulb. Another thing you can do is to pull the metal contacts on the base of the bulb slightly away from the bulb. This will then guarantee that a good connection is made inside the bulb holder.

Polarity is not an issue with these simple (halogen) bulbs.

still dont understand why my alarm is now fooked, unless its coinsidence but i doubt it

I got mine from Ebay and yes the bulb fittment was different. I cut the wires and fitted them with the bulbs holders that came with them and have had no problems at all. They went straight on.

The reason the connectors are different is that the clear side repeaters are not specifically for the Z32. In fact they are off a Nissan Cedric which was only available in Japan and Asia.
