Anyone know how difficult this is to remove, or an easy way to do it, I bought a tailgate with a 'mild' tint on it but its got badly scratched and Id like a darker one anyway

just about to do mine tomoz i thinK, gonna go forr the wallpaper steamer method, just done a search, soapy watter, hairdryer then meths, sunshine, wallpaper steamer.

let me know how you get on mate, the soapy water, hairdryer, meths and walpaper steamer wont be a problem, hope I dont need to much sunshine though!!

I used the wallpaper stripper, and a few stanly blades.

Go to http://www.mistertint.co.uk and give him a bell. He is a really helpful bloke and he will probably know best.

just done it.....DONT DO IT!!! tooK me 5 hours!!

 

the film came off in 5 mins but i had to steam the glue and use stanley blades, you have the heater to navigate and the glue gets thicK over them, i had to use brillos soaKed in turps to get it off, im KnacKered!!

 

looKs bettter tho.

Best way I recon, this has to come off coz its a mess, so Ill con the missus into doing it :D

Throw a brick through it and claim on the insurance.

Putting it on, for a professional isnt hard or so ive been told, just dont carry your tailgate around in the back of a transit for 3 weeks :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
