if you're talking standard i think the values could be higher on the swb versions IMO.

Nice idea but as Steve said you haven't mentioned age or mileage,

 

Series one 89-92?

Series two 92-93?

Series three 93-94?

Series four 94-96?

And as most are over 15 years old you need to take into account maintanence and service history, think about it if you find a UK 91 2+2 TT that has been sat in a garage most of its life with 35k on the clock and every stamp you could think of, then its worth more than a 94 Jspec with dudious history and a few gizmos fitted.

The arse has fell out of the market and there are some real bargains to be had

AND some real heaps of shite ;) . People will still pay a premium for that special

Z but other than that heres my theory,

 

If your selling get as much as you can

If you buying get it as cheap as you can cos in less than a year IT WILL

be worth a lot less

It's a buyers market and unfortunately a lot of sellers haven't realised the ugly truth.

My advice would be, strip the car as much as you can, put it back to stock then flog the tarted up bits off to get your most money.

Have to say that this is a nice idea. Don't think that these are fixed in stone prices, just an estimate of how much you should be looking to pay. Think the V. good good etc is making the allowances for the mileage, servicing etc as well as condition of the car.

 

I for one have no idea what my car is worth. I have no intentions of selling it though so the price is accademic.

An interesting subject and no doubt one that will cause a lot of debate - and heated arguments.

 

As a "rough" guide I reckon that is a pretty good stab. Mileage, year, service history etc will always mean that prices must fluctuate and there is always the odd heavily modded car that people will be willing to pay a premium for. I'm afraid that I believe that the price difference between and an auto and manual will get bigger as most people wanting a sports car will want a manual (sorry auto owners - but then again, how many of you would have gone for a manual if you were given the choice again!).

 

In my opinion, original Zeds will level off and then maybe increase in a few years time once they start reaching the classic status and the cost of bringining in further imports doesn't make financial sense. Look at the way the old 240/260Z went. I had a real gem and sold it for £1500 in 1991. Wish I had it now. This is all fine providing you can it for 10 years and use it as a second car I suppose.

agree, a buyer will allways see a diffrent price from a seller every time :confused: we dont need posts like this because as a z32 club its our job and may i add "duty" to keep these car values up where they belong and not devalued by mindless posts as this S-tune :nono:

I think it's impossible to put an average price on zeds.

Reason being, virtually every zed out there has been modified in some way. Some obviously a lot more than others (Jason LOL).

Therefor, cannot see how you could say for example, a 1992 zed is worth £XXXX

Every car in this club will have it's own value. They are worth whatever someone is prepared to pay. Which unfortunately, isn't a lot in the current market.
