I miss the student lifestyle don't get me wrong but i don't mind giving that up for 2k a month instead of scrabbling for the next 10 pounds to pay my mobile top up :D hehe

I left school at 16, and went straight in the Army for the next 14 years, so I didnt have time to dwell on wether I missed school or not. :D

whats school ?

seriously though you do loose contact with alot of people fast so make sure you get all of the girls numbers !

you'll be glad you left, they are easier days, but lifes about to start now! (and you could never have a zed at school)!

nope dont miss the place at all, and never looked back, i never was any good at that lark and more or less gave it up in the last year. Left with no qualifications and am doing better than a lot of the boffins i knew at school. My education was outside school where i learnt a lot more than the boffins, i learnt to survive with common sense which they didnt have school cant teach you that. Then me mum wanted house keeping off me and i thought what the fooks that all about so that was the only draw back in leaving school, apart from that fook off to school.

Don't miss school at all, in fact I hated it! Just make sure you get some kind of vocation/skill that will pay well and then the rest of life is your choice. It only takes a couple of years and its a lot easier to do it when you are young then when you are older and have other responsibilities. Even if it isn't your 'dream job' now its worth getting something reliable under your belt so you've got the choice later on.

i was an avionics tech in the raf mate and i can tell you now it was a great job. the long distance relationships are hard sometimes but it does make you appreciate each other when you do get together. apart from that you get to go to some ace places. and as an aircraft technician as they call 'em now you're pretty much guarranteed to get a front line squadron for the 1st 18 months after training.

go for number 1 excellent opportunity especially for the future, which is what you got to think of. No need to lose the little lady your just be putting it on hold for a while, but you will still get to see her, just think how cool she will feel telling her mates her boyfriend is in the forces, girls love it. Not saying its the case or going to happen but seen too many people miss opportunities over a girl, which didnt work out anyway, my nephew for 1, and myself to be honest. Plus if she is a good understanding girl then she will pleased for you to have a career, stand by you and be there for you.
