Thanks......I have to retrim (in leather to match the armrests) the SWB specific trim that sits behind the rear seats now though, as Parts came from a LWB and Im never going to find a SWB with the suede trim breaking :(

Why don't you just buy some suede from a fabric place?

Upholstery fabric would prob be best

Will try, but its finding an exact match..... hopefully

Car is in garage, Aircon and hicas completely removed, engine bay degreased and cleaned.

Have done EGR removal, Plenum water bypass, relocated det sensor and fitted lightweight pulley to new low mileage TT engine and that is ready to be dropped in.

New lightweight FIA approved seats have arrived (6kg each versus the stock electric 30kg each !), and have been working on fabricating the subframes for them. Also Collected rear 4-point roll cage (cheers Pete) so that will be going in very soon.

Still got to retrim the rear panels so they are still removed.

Did you collect something for me too???

Yes Neil, there is a parcel for you at SWZ

looking good, couldn't find your own seats though - copycat :p

you'll be pleased to know though that those seats are very comfortable, even for long journeys. When we went to the 'ring a few weeks ago my passenger was expecting to be a wreck after that long a journey but was plesantly surprised.

Hi mate, did'nt realise you had the same. I made the mistake of buying without trying, but they do seem suprisingly comfortable.

Did you use the stock subframe with the cobra side mounts ? Im using the stock manual sliding subframes and fabricating some adaptors as there is about an inch difference in widths, same for you ?

drivers one is mounted so a stock manual frame. I also have the ali mounts which you give you a few more mm each side. then widened the holes in subframes again to give a few more mm, and again widened the mounting holes of the subframe and it just about fits!

Passenger side is bolted to the floor pan as it's the gt version which is 1" wider again, and doesn't need to be moved. This is so that 'larger' passengers are comfortable ;) ;)

Good thread Dave, top work. The paint work looks in v good nick on the SWB?
