I Had New Manifolds And Down Pipes Fitted On My 91 300 Non Turbo But When I Came To Get It From The Garage That Done The Work I Found Pipes Hanging From Under The Car Up Near The Engine Which Were Then Cut Off.

I Was Told They Went From The Engine To The Exhausts On Either Side And Now That Their Gone The Car's Been Getting Worse By The Day And It Wont Sit Idle And Keeps Losing Power When Im Driving.

After A While It Takes Off But Still Chugs And Spluters Every So Often.

Why Is My Baby Not Well And Is It Going To Be Exspensive To Fix?

Plz Help Me As Im Going Mad And All Out Of Ideas, Its Up For Mot On Fri Aswell. Cheers Yall.

these pipes should be the cat overheat sensors.. and they shouldnt affect your running sounds like a bad coincidence (spelling?) to me.

No, those are the AIV inputs.

You need to go into the wings and remove the AIV boxes and the solenoid in the engine bay for it to be a tidy job.

It shouldnt make any difference to how the engine runs, unless they removed the solenoid and didnt blank off the vac pipe.

My suggestion is they sheared a bolt attaching your manifolds and they are leaking, take it back to them asap.

i think uv hit the nail on the head mate thanks for that, will leave in to garage asap and c wot they say, also taking computer to show them exactly wot it is so no hangups this time. cheers.

there are cat overheat sensors bud which if the exhaust has been decatted hang down doin nothin..;)

Yeah but the sensors are braided cables hanging down from the floorpan. The AIV inputs are pipes which come from the wing, near the engine.

I thought the AIV matched his description better. But yes, if he has decats, both of these will have been cut, so have a look for both! ;)

yea both have been cut and one was left hanging.

the thred u put up that i looked at showed exactly what it was that was removed from under the car, (aiv pipes) i had s/s system fitted from manifolds to back box and they wer de'cated, straight threw system. hopefully that's what's causing the problem so i can get it sorted. was running fine b4 i got work done and after it started to go like this and keeps on dying out on me.
