Well after much soul searching I have decided to go all out on a car that I have hankered after for years but has always been out of reach...pictures below!

I know this won't go down well with everyone here, but you have to admit it looks slightly better than a standard one. Picking it up tomorrow. :hyper:

Obviously this means that the Zed is for sale see here...at least I have a pretty obvious genuine reason for the sale!

Congrats on a fine purchase mate, used to have a supra myself.

They are a very good car well built, legendary toyota

reliability etc etc. Oh yeah, and loads better than a gto!!

I heard the other day that my old supra has been written off,

apparantly the guy lost it on a roundabout & wiped the back end off it!

R.I.P Supra..

True I will give you that.... that the inline motors are easier to work on but do not give the power like V motors do. In the super car world they dont use inline motors do you know why?? Ferrari Lambos Koniegg zonda porche and the list goes on and on. Do you know why they dont use inline motors? Some of the fastest cars in the world are indy cars and they do not use inline motors do you know why? Because the power ratio on a V motor is almost 1/2 of that on an Inline motor. 1000BHP motor on a inline motor only needs to take 500 to 550 on a V motor to get the same amount of power going to the wheels and down the 1/4 track. Dont get me wrong there are a butt load of other factors such as tranny differenial wheels tires etc etc etc that contribute to the quickness of a car. Thats why i said the Nissan 300 ZedX is all around better engineered for quickness and power.

I cant tell you how many over 1000BHP supras ive dusted with my 650RWHP Zed. Because its really about the torque and how fast your engine can spin up. ;)

thought the main reason for a v is the space factor, you can get 8 pots in the space of 4 thus getting the engine further back or forward towards the bulkhead and making better use of equal weight configaration. as for your theory on high hp, pound for pound a lesser hp car with better traction will out sprint and out drag a wheel spinning monster all day ;) what was this thread about????? oh yea Alex C,s supra :nelson: sorry bud got side tracked but very intresting all the same ;)

sounds like your all traitors on the quite lol keep them both you can use the poopra for everyday driving and the sexy zx for when your going somewhere special like taking your mistress out thats what i used to do b4 my wife divorced me lol

Not traitors we just felt sorry for you........................

Sorry mate but those super cars dont care about weather you can get a V motor or inline motor in the space they are putting those motors because they can go either way! Ferrari has the space to put either an I or a V motor and they always choose V because of the power you can get from them instead of using Inline motors. Trust me its always better to run a V motor than an inline. So many ppl think that its better to go with an I motor and its really just a myth!

Your going from a V series motor to a I motor and thats just going backwards in life. Here are other examples of what im taking about its like going from a laser mouse on the computer to a ball mouse back in the day. Or going from Cable to DSL to Modem

OK mate...I think someoone has '300Zed X' blinkers on. I have got car with a 40-50bhp increase over my Zed so its clearly not a slower car is it

You 'image' wrong ... there is a lot more to it than looks and based on my drive home today I have significantly upgraded, not downgraded, the Supra drives superbly. It would take a lot of cash to get my Zed to the level of this Sup, not saying it can't be done, but when you add in the interior trim, better road manners, fresh respray and not forgetting the noise of the JZ at full throttle, I am quite happy with my choice.

Theres more to a car the just RWHP you know.

And yes, I still have a ball type mouse

Alex, theres a small meet at the Twirl of Hey, in your neck of the woods next Sunday, why dont pop down. Have a look in the NW region for more details.

Ah poo...I've only insured it for the week and it runs out Saturday.

Mind you could always extend it for another week or alternatively I'll just try to pop by in the Zed!
