So are these switches a stock part of the 300zx tho. or did customising of the switch button itself need to be done???

Anyone got photos of these switches when they are illuminated???

Mine is a 1992 and only the up part still lights up.

I presume that both up and down worked originally?

I can confirm there is only one bulb.

In the drivers 'up'.

The passengers is unlit.

What were Nissan thinking?

Firstly - tweed ? WTF is that about? :slap:

Secondly - only illuminating the window up button. Why would you not just do the down button too? and even the passenger side?

You got to love those crazy jap engineers...

I will send you mine along with the pods;)

From what I can gather from the above they were standard from the factory?

Yep its standard factory. Pull the rocker switch off and hold it up to the light. If you can see through the 'up' V then its supposed to be illuminated. ;)

I appreicate all your help guys, it does seem that 90 models got these switches not just the 94+ models which hopefully means i have a good chance to get these parts.

Ill keep looking around might try and buy some new switches from a member from this site who knows they do work, or get them from japan somehow.

thanks again for all your help guys.

yeah just like the other guys said, on my 91 us model the drivers side up switch lights up and the passenger side is unlit

So now it looks like it isnt just the 94 model+ switches that light up so is there any specific way of determining if the switches will light up without turning the lights on???
