Just wondering if there is any extreme mileage reading on any of the z's here. I read threads so often beginning with "i've got a 1990 z with 55k on it........" I'll start the bidding with 132k. (did have a KPH to MPH conversion before I bought it so only god knows the real mileage) .

Love to know of any 200k plusses

Not bad !! c'mon any higher??

Its not a zed but we have an old work van transit thats on 285,000miles and is still on original engine and gearbox and does 250 to 350 miles a day.

My zed 68k i think.

You could have always done a poll :p

highest mileage I have ever seen on a TT was 218k (350000km)

It was still running ok, but you could hear it was completely worn and in desperate need of a rebuild and a fresh set of turbos

Problem with Zeds is they are too easy to clock. I'd say at least 80% of imports are clocked not sure about UK's though.

In my opinion I would be very suprised to find the real miles on any zed being under 100,000 miles. Of course there are some out there but not as many as there claim to be.

i totally agree!

some people are a little nieve (is that spelt right?)

i'm reading about 60k but it all gets confusing as it has done jap miles and uk miles. so about 50k

Think mine was just short of 100k miles, going by the mot's.

It was reset to MPH from KM 3 years ago so only reads 1,200 miles now. But I have all the paper work to show the true milage when i come to sell it.

I'm reading 77k on mine - I think it's genuine got plenty of bills to support...

Including new tubs and cam-belt at 30k??? What's that all about - fitted by Mandella at vast expense... :nono:

My zed has done 50K miles, lucky me. Jap car engineering is awesome. So long as you dont rag them all the time they are fairly solid with good maintenance. AFAIK tubs normally go betweem 70k and 120k miles.

Yep, I agree. There are far too many imports with fifty-something on the clock, I suspect clocking is part of the Jap instruction manual for exporting to the UK!

I had mine straight off the boat with 72k Km but, although the car is in very good general condition both mechanically and bodywise, there are signs of higher actual mileage such as quite deep foot indents in the drivers carpet under the fairlady carpets.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!

Dave

91 UK motor sitting about 150000mls at the moment, just wish the bodywork was as sweet as the engine sounds.

I've not really got a problem with high mileage as long as the cars been looked after. long gone are the days that a cars fooked and only worth scrap once its gone over 100k, design engineering and materials have come along way in the past 30yrs ;)

Cars easily clock mega mileage nowadays with reps doing 40,000mls plus a year.

Had my daily runner for over 6 years now 2 1/2 years old when I bought it with 116,000 on the clock and now sitting at 215,000.

as already stated I'm alway sceptical about the mileage claimed on many Z's

most of these cars are 15 years old now and to have done 50,000 miles means they have been parked up most of their lives, can see it happening with one or two but no way for the amount thats claimed

I32698 miles on a UK car that I've owned for 8 years.

It had 30 something thousand when I bought her from a friend. Who bought it from the owner of the warrington Nissan dealership. So its genuine mileage, but it has had 2 sets of standard turbos, 2 engine rebuilds, and 1set of T28 hybrids and 1set of T2837RS turbos. A manual gearbox, new prop, 3 clutches (Chris C has had 2 of my cast off's)

3 rads, and all the sh1t in my rides + a load more stuff I've fitted or still to fit.

mines an import on 177,000 km's about 110,000 miles

132,000 miles uk car but had brand new short block and internals from nissan about 70,000 miles ago, also recon tubs at same time as engine has original heads on it though so how would that work as the top half is original

wow , good to see other high milers come on and admit it. As said earlier these cars are too easily clocked. At least owning the same car for a good number of years showing high mileage you know where you stand. i remember my first Z bought at luton airport from a big guy with tattoos telling me this was a "minter" with 48k on the clock. Thought I was nobodies business driving home with strings hanging from the steering wheel, stereo facia ripped out carpet ripped to shreds and a big wet spongy rear spoiler with the silver paint flaking off...........lol...oh forgot to mention PTU went the next day.. :D
