I know you will all prob say the jim wolf one but they are so expensive on my last z i bought one of ebay if i remeber it was 90 pound and it didnt say jwt on it however the car ran awsum after the fittment of the chip and boost valves. I see there about 350 pound from dealers do any of you got a cheaper chip that is tried and tested and gives similar results? and how much and were from? cheers big ears

JWT chips available from most Traders for about £100, same price as all the other MUCH better chips.

 

JWT is a nice generic safe chip, but certaintly wont give you the best power gains.

AndyP will be the closest for you mate. I drove down to his house and he did it there. Cant remember quite remember where he lives but its about 20/30 mins away

are jdm chips as good as the jwt ones? ive heard bad comments about them?

nah JD = John Dixon - he knows his stuff when it comes to eproms. i went from stock chip to JWT then to JD. he's on here somewhere (actually thats a lie cos its his birthday so he's probably in a gutter somewhere :p )

I will have a boost controller for sale this weekend hopefully.

rodders do you still have that chip? and were can i get the 'thingy' to fit it to a standard ecu? and whats the difference between the jwt ecu itself and the stock one? that goes out to one and all.

The Difference is just the Maps on the Chip. The ECU itself is standard.

Im running AndyP chip and cant fault it as even at the limit of what the injectors can take it still has the fuelling slightly rich for safety .

I think you need a socket soldered into the ECU as the standard chip is soldered onto the board. Im not 100% sure how the standard chip is help in.

Actually you came to Karen's house in Middlewich, I live in Essex, but I'm generally in the NW about every other weekend.
