i handed my Z to ZWorX for a PCV swap and compression test (been getting blue smoke more and more recently :( ) and the results came back ranging from 120 to 140 although i dont know which cylinders are which. ive driven her for about 60 miles since the PCV swap and the smoking problem is all but gone (from two 30-mile long journeys i only got one puff of blue smoke near the end of each under decelleration whereas it used to be on and off nearly all the time, idle, acc. dec. you name it) but im not breathing a sigh of relief at all yet. car's done about 90,000 miles.
Mickey told me that the turbos are slow to spool up which I agree with - Ive not been happy with the performance of my Z for a few months now at least and with the mods ive had done ive ironed out most problems (eg. my old clutch was crap so i have a brand new RPS in, new zorst, new Profec E01, etc.). the bottom end has recently been rebuilt too, along with VVT springs. and Mick thinks that injector 1 is faulty. ive been quoted a realistic price for engine rebuild and turbo refurb with 360 degree b/bs. question is, is it worth spending the money? [a very generalised question but i want to know people's thoughts]
