Those were the words of a guy at work, along with "it handles like its on rails" and "this would piss on my brothers scoobie and that was quick"

How good does that make me feel

i have a scooby as my daily drive and yes... it would piss all over it, though this is just your everyday tampon subaru wrx turbo... i wouldnt play with an sti or p1 as i think it will be embarrasing, especially on a country lane!

Without a doubt, I would never say my car is good on the twisties but on a nice smooth road with some good bends and roundabouts then it does handle rather well, its just a shame the brakes are poo.

the z32 Z swallows corners in the hands of proffesionals, shame im a f**king headcase, i still have a sore throat after setting me brakes on fire!

I tell you I want to drop my suspension but i'm scared i'll spoil the handling and ride quality, since I polybushed the whole suspension it is awsome.

The zed (TT anyway) will corner as if its on rails as good as anything else at speeds below 70 due to the Hicas system speeds over that the Hicas dosnt work, the rear wheels turning that couple of degrees makes a big difference

I've just spent an hour with a recovery driver looking over the other halfs car (headgasket failure) and everytime i mentioned my 300 the response i got every time was:

"My mates nova is a beast, its had a 5.7 litre v8, broke the gearbox at the pod it's that quick... blah blah blah"

Wanted to belt the guy, he drives a 1.8 fookin Vectra!

should of said to him, "if its that fooking good why hasnt it got a decent gearbox in it, dont matter how quick it is if it dont fooking go!"

Dont be, replacing stock struts and springs with decent Uprated items transforms the car...it feels much lighter, less body roll, more responsive and better grip.

Adjustables such as the KYB AGX and Eibachs offer very good ride quality.

Wouldn't go for Tein if you want to keep a comfortable ride. Nice smooth road and the handling on mine is awesome. Stick it on a country lane and you end up looking like this :wack:

I have had many run in's with various scoobies and never had a problem killing them !

even brand new sti's

the brand new ones are too heavy i think, the old classic sti's are lighter and 280bhp standard, doesnt take much to top that up quite a way either! but i hear what you saying, it will always vary car to car, different mod states etc :)

only scary moment i have had with ascooby was one of the rb ones..

but i realised why.. was in Low Boost at the time

one press of the little silver button

bye bye scooby..lol

I like Zeds (obviously) but they are more of a GT car rather than a sports car and though you can get them to handle OK they are never really going the be fantastic handling. They are just too heavy, but thats the fun. You really have to husle and man handle it to kick butt on the twistys.

I’ve got a stiff one now (suspension that is) and it’s handles the corners much better than the stock suspension.

Take 1x Slicktop, with weight reduced to around 1300kg and all the right suspension and chassis mods....reckon it will mix it with the best of them :)

I've had a stiff one for ages and it certainly handles better than the standard car by miles, but some of the little Honda's, The Mrs TRD, Lotus Elise and Nobles to mention the ones I've driven really handle and you'll never get a Zed to drive like that. Its a different beast alltogether.

It's a similar story with R32's 3' and 4's. Evo's Scoobies on twisty short circuit tracks will take Z'd and Skylines....but on a fast circuit like the ring....no chance.... no even the P1 and STI's....

absolutely, i havent had a problem with a scoobie yet, although i havent had any runins with a brand new sti yet, i think some more mods first. although the local citroen saxo brigade seem to think that they have the beatings of me, lol. how i chuckled after letting them smoke there tyres for abit then deciding to make them look even more silly than usuall

What did he mean by 'fastest car he's been in'

1) acceleration

2) max speed

I keep saying to my work mates that my car is FAST and they alway say 'well how fast' and I say well done 160 and still some to go but off the line fast.

so what is it

fast 0 - ???

or silly speeds ??????????

Well I didn't go over a 100 so I guess acceleration fast

Thats why you wont see a Skyline\Supra\300zx etc doing well on the TOTB handling course, its as if the course has been designed to accomodate the smaller agile cars
