Air con

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me if there is a test to check if the air con needs re-gasing apart from switching it on!

I used mine about a month ago and was cold but I used it the other day and now its hot, I am wondering if theres a fault or not??

When it comes to using the air con (as i dont have a manual) to switch it on I presume you press auto then set temp to 10c and then should come on same as the heating?, I know this sound stupid and thick but I do wonder if I am doing it right!! :wack:

Cheers all!!!

In the engine bay, on passenger side next to plenum is the aircon pipes, there is a little screw cap that can be removed and look through glass window to check gas inside.

Aircon is on whenever you have the Auto button on (and the econ OFF), its climate control so you set it at whatever temp you need and it will heat/cool as required.

Excellent mate! I shall have a look when I have picked kids up from school!!

but can I ask what the PLENUM is?

The Plenum is the large rib cage looking thing ontop of the engine.
