its expensive and a bitch to fit unless you relocate it, bypass it with a 1 Meg ohm resistor like I have ;)

its a piezo coil that detects engine knocks at a certain freqency (detting) and send a signal to ecu to retard ignition and reduce boost, big job to relace as its under the lower plenum

the plugs here bud,disconect and put the resistor on the ecu side of it like ive done

Check for green shit on the connectors first. Have you done an ECU diag and are getting code34 ??

HAD LOADSAA TROUBLE

CAR WIDNI START

BROKEN WIRING EVERYWHERE

EVERYTHING IS FIXED AND TURNED OUT TO BE BROKEN WIRE AT ECU

SHOWING CODE IGNITION

CAR IS STARTING NOW AND ONLY CODE IS KNOK SENSOR

REPLACED BRAND NEW PTU ASWELL

ALSO WILE IM ON I BOUGHT A MINES ECU

WHATS THIS GONNI DO FOR ME?

A mines ECU won't do much on it's own, you'll have to up the boost via boost jets or and EBC te get the most from it if you havn't already done so

unless you,ve got reduced boost it might just need the code clearing from an earler fault,safety boost corrects its self on next start untill it detts again anyway
