Do you think they will rise in value at all?

I'm sure I saw a thread recently about this...

I think if I came to sell the car i'd have to strip it back to standard and sell everything seperately at least.

You'd think at the moment you could make a lot more money breaking the car up than selling it as a whole.

it works both ways though.... i sold mine for £7000 last oct but mine was a total minter with £1000s spent (not saying other peoples aren't but id spent 5 years getting her to how she was)

but when i came to get another there was a lot of choice... i got mine (see sig) for amazing money... granted ill probably spend a few grand to get her mint and how i want her (auto out for starters) but its still the best looking car i have seen on the road IMO and all for the money of a good mondeo... and people never have any idea what it is!

i just need to resist the temptation to sell and get my mates AC cobra

I need to pay off my debt mate, i'm only 22 and with a car like this it's just going to sink me into debt with insurance, usual running costs etc.

I'm just going to get a cheap 306 diesel that I can run into the ground. This zed needs to go to a better home. Wish I could keep it, drove it to zedworld today to get it checked over and i'm already regretting the decision. It's by far the nicest car to drive which i've owned so far.

The thing is Chris. having seen it in the flesh I can tell you it is a particularly good example and you'd be hard pressed to find another so good.

I'm sorry you can't hold onto her mate. I bet your gutted to let her go.

Someone is going to get a really nice SWB slick top there. It ticks all the boxes. Unfortunatey I'm not allowed anymore or my wifr would perform surgery

Still I don't care. The driving pleasure gained from the zx is worth whatever it loses in value. I didn't buy it as an investment - no car should be - I bought it to use.

Richard :)

exactly my sentiments entirely!!!

ha cheers mark. If you know anyone that's in the line for one, send them my way. I've got some bloke showing interest in it from Sweden but it's early stages yet.

what he said!!!!

Neither would I......

However I would think that once all the ebay rubbish has rotted away, or died, or been written off by inexperienced drivers; then the prices of said good examples will remain good.

The Supra, RX7 etc are dropping all the time, as someone has said. But the prices of very good Porsche 928s are still holding their own. If I'd bought that 1989 55k mile 928s4 for £10k some years back instead of spending £5k on my 300zx, the Porsche would probably still fetch almost £10k today.......

exactly right. don't think anyone can buy a car as an investment really.
