Ask AndyP about the Stillen and how well it fits! ROFL biggrin.gif

I'd be up for this as a group buy.

Yeah, you have to cut a slice out of the sound deadening material in the bonnet !

Needless to say mine ain't fitted.

Downside of this one is that the pretty bit of plastic on top of the plenum has to be removed.

Anyway, group buy is at StrictlyZ, so there'll be additional postage and tax for us poor foreigners frown.gif

I can see they had the same problems as me! I've made a front tortion bar, for the Z.

Its in the garage now, but to compensate for the bonnet insulation was maddness!

Mine is 30mmx20mm high tenisile alloy crossing to 5 degree comfort housing feet, - looks the tits, but will it fit - will it f**k. Unless you lot know better.

BTW ?

How can a bent stress point take away stress of less than 15%, when its bent & stressed to begin with ? I'm all ears, cos if i can do this, mine is up & running again.

Hello Harve,

Just wanted to ask from a novices point of view! What tension bar do you recommend, cos they recommend getting one of these if you mod up a convertible, and I is just getting meself conffffuuseedd. Sounds like some of ready made ones involve chopping away at stuff!

Regards,

Mark

I recently installed the one they sell at Courtesy Nissan on a friend's Zed.

It fits pretty good...nothing needs to be cut and the top cover of the plenum doesn't need to be removed.

...and it only costs $90

But...what if you need to access the sparkplugs ???

with this Carbing one you need to completely remove it again (which is not a fun job because of the fuel hoses), as for the courtesy one you just need to remove 1 bolt and you can flip the bar to one side

Lymon that is just what im after, Did you get the rear one as well?

Just wandering how you cut into the rear sides?

No, just the front bar.

for the rear you can better get the sway-bar..it works better and you don't have to cut up anything.

Hi Lymon,

What is a rear sway bar and where does it go and are they available for the coupe?

Thanks,

Mark

Mark, the sway-bars are upgraded stabilizer bars (located under the car.) and they fit 2+2's and SWB's

As far as I know GR-racing sells a set (front and rear) for around $250 ( http://www.eatricezone.com )

Mark,

The rear sway bar is the rear anti-roll bar(see the pic's Eric posted above) , seems the standard front and rear anti-roll bars are hollow, upgrading them to thicker aftermarket types is supposed to reduce body roll.

Heres what Warren was on about:

  • 5 weeks later...

does anyone know if there is a difference from the ones sold by Courtesy and the ones sold by Procarparts? They both look the same, and has anyone ever ordered anything from Procarparts?

Cheers
