after 4 months of no sleep waiting on the car arriving from japan its now finally road legal,

and i'm tempted to sell it already as it really isnt a road car,to do 30mph you have to sit in 2nd or it jumps along the road, the clutch(os giken triple plate) really is an on off switch,

i dont care if i sound like a pussy but it really is just too fast :o

every gear once you hit 4k the world warps around you and you go deaf as the screamer pipes engage :smash:

its just far too extreme to use as a fast road car 100mph+ is instant, theres no playing with scoobs or anything anymore even pulled away from a gallardo without too much effort(which was when it sunk in,what if there was a police car sitting at the side of the road,at the speeds this thing does the ban isnt the worrying thing)tom tom gps seen 198mph(on a private road of course)and still pulling,

4th and 5th gear feel more like 2nd and 3rd in my old zed running 1.2 bar,

its evil i tell you,lol :wack:

i cant afford to keep a track car like this

so what do i do?

a very much still shaking Paul.

Should be picking her up next week  Then I can start running her in...

Macs car is having the work done at this very moment and you can do your sums when my project is complete. :x: :)

With half a tank of fuel and me it was 1650kg two weeks later I tried another bridge and it was 1649kg thats with stock seats spare wheel full interior etc so there is plenty room to shed a few more pounds as the Kevlar seat weighs 3kg the new tailgate with perspex window and removing most of the interior will be a big saving and also could be changing the driver from over 100kg to 60kg;)

your like a 300zx.co.uk 'a' list celebrity, alongside the likes of jason farrow, cj etc... when you carry this status you are always going to be on the cover of 'o.k'... i mean 'my zed is faster/looks better than yours' magazine! as said previously, many of us enthusiasts are dreamers when it comes to performance and looks like yours so we always will look up to and refer to your car as a milestone :)

i thought i lived on that diet...till i got this thing, even Kirbz who has had a bundle of high powered cars descrided this car as "fooking extreme"lol

heres a few pics...

i would happily place money on this being the fastest 300zx in the uk,the handling is second to none even traction is great thanks to an aftermarket diff and the fact whoever set it up must have known what they were doing

Paul.

If you get any internal/external video footage of this beast in action, be sure to put up some links, mate - It'd be great get an impression of a manic zed like this on the go! With all the usual edits to thwart any attention from mr plod, naturally..........................

i second that, id love to see this in action

Right people, I can give my independant report after driving this car yesterday.....

It's fast

:D

I can also explain what the hell Paul was going on about earlier.

He's not a pussy, and can certainly handle any power you were to throw at him, but what I noticed yesterday while driving it was, you are driving at jail mph without realising it. This is due to the handling setup, which is awesome.

If I was to plonk that engine into my lwb, I would be in a field within 2 seconds. Bare in mind, I have good Tein suspension and Toyo's.

There is also the "hey everyone, look at me" noises, which are always going to attract the wrong sort of attention.

The car has obviously been built for the Japanese curcuits, with all the money going into performance, not cosmetics. No shiney paint job, no shiney plenum, no max power body kit etc. Paul added the wheels and back lights remember.

It has inspired me to do better however, lol, with a swb in my back garden, and a 3.1 engine sitting in my garage, I'm gonna give it a damn good go

Yeah, they should be using mine lol

Did you pick it up James?

Did you pick it up James?

they had a few problems with his new engine so i think they stuck the old one in for his trip ;)

lol mate, see here. Got it back but not quite as planned, had some running problems and were running out of time rapidly so we chucked the old engine back in so I could still go. It's going back in a few weeks to swap the new setup back in again.

Things are never easy or straight forward are they!

:( Had no idea James I have had so much on of late and not had alot of time to check the board.

No nothing is ever straight forward when you are doing a big build but TRUST me when its all done and sorted it will be worth it.;)
