Right i just got a new Zed and am going to town on it Stock!!! but first i want to make sure it won't rot around me :nono: .

So the wings are coming off, back bumper and all underneth fixing's.

Also going to spray wax oil into the sills. Thought about spraying wax oil where the bumper sit's and in the rear wing from inside, also inside the front wings.

But was wondering what is best for the rest of car, waxoil or underseal, for inside the wheel arches, or waxoil first so all the nooks and cranies are soaked then underseal-stonechip on top.

thanks in advance

Don't think you should put anything on top of Waxoil as it stays soft & 'heals itself' when scratched.

I used Hammerite stone chip and then Smoothrite spray on

right ok so don't over cover waxoil. and wasn't thinking about painting (oh Emro hows the car idling now).

So which would best the best as i heard that waxoil soaks into small cracks etc and will stop rust if there's any there.

does the stone chip do the same?

thankls for above replies

Not had specific experience of either for a long time, but given the long term good reputation that Waxoil has, I'd go with that.

Mmmm. how does that fair in the wheel arches, I'm guessing that the waxoil will gather the dust as it will stick to it, or does it dry hard enough to swill the muck off.

Sorry for all the questions about something quite simple. but really want to get it right first time

thanks graeme

Sorry no I don't

Waxoil imo on box sections like sills.

If the car is not 100% dry and you underseal it with stonechip you can lock in water/moisture which will cause corrosion.

Thanks for the link Chris. but this has to be a miss print????

tins can be left on their sides without the ‘liquid’ running out — which is why it must be pressurised at over 4000psi
