Any suggestions, my cars a J reg

J300 STT is the best i could find, its over a grand tho :(

i have one with 300 in for £300

Don't see the point of reg plates with the car model in em - you usually have a badge on the back telling people what it is LOL

No use once you sold the car.

Don't forget you can use any older plate on your car so A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H or J plates etc

I've got a dateless Northern Irish plate to match my name Damian James and the the car!!! (nearly, but they don't do pre 1992 ZX letters!)......DJZ 300 (Moved the Z to the middle) DJ Z 300 !

i don't mind people knowing that it's an 18 year car that just blew them away :p :p

I could of got J300TT from a mate of Ken of ZXS but the guy who owned the plate let the MOT run out, plates where off the car so dont know what happened to the car or if it exists anymore, but ken said impossible to be able to change plates now, gutted!

i remember when 18 year olds blew me away too :x:

£1k seems a bit high to me but it depends how much you want it.

As far as J300TT is concerned a lot depends on your local inspector. In some cases if the mot has only recently expired they will allow the transfer, it may be worth enquiring and getting an opinion.

Agree!

You need a plate for yourself and not your current car. As Chris says, you're fooked when you change cars.

I can see what the pair of you mean but there is a good arguement for having a car related number. Its a show off whatever plate you put on and thats just an extention of show and shine. It shows a bit of pride in the car either way. I have the best of both worlds name on the Vectra and car name on the Zed. It can always have an influence on potential buyers too.
