Convertable

TT Slicktop

TT SWB

TT LWB*

NA Slicktop*

NA SWB*

*could'nt decide which order to put these in..generally the TT is more desirable...but the TT LWB is quite common with a lot of poor examples and the average value is probably actually less than the average value of the rare NA SWB & NA slicktop .

 

Manuals worth £500-£1000 more than Auto.

 

So Excluding the Convertable, the most valuable would be the TT Slicktop Manual, and least valuable would be the NA LWB Auto.

 

Uk model was only available as a LWB TT, and there is'nt really a price difference between the Jap LWB TT and UK LWB TT. Although Sometimes the UK version can be more desirable to younger owners for Insurance reasons (but many will overlook the UK version and go for an Import because of generally lower mileages and better body & Chassis condition (ie. less chance of rust corrosion)).

 

Obviously were ignoring age/condition/mods/mileage and basing this on everything being equal.

 

p.s T-tops = Targa yep. Almost all Zeds have targa except the rare SWB Slicktop (and the even rarer Convertable)

On going debat which is best wheather UK/Jap, Manual/Auto etc Truth is any Zed is desirable to the person who desires it which ever model and is only as good as its maintanance, needless to say a very well maintained Zed dosent fetch the money it should

I choose loose the car! Got to go and go cheap at that! Normally wouldn't sell for such a cheap price but that s life at times. :(

 

No offence to the Zed, but picking another one of them up is by far easyer than a house.

I reckon Targas are more desirable than Slicktops. A bit of summer sun and cool breeze. Thats real life desirability. Minor if at all noticable handling improvements arent everything...

 

Of course if you are building a track beast then you dont care about the summer breeze!

Pretty sure that Targa means the whole top section lifts out whereas t-top means 2 sections lift out leaving the supporting section as is seen on the zed.

Yes, to the masses the Targa is more desirable, but for those after a slicktop (and yes its does have Handing & performance advantages, especially when you start uprating suspension) it will fetch more money than the Targa.

i agree 110 % ive hade this same problem about 15 years ago to a beloved car and it got sent down the road faster than a rat up a pipe,nothing matters when the home gets jeapodised ;)

I'd second that - different Zeds appeal to different people.
