i got asked if i would like to have my photo taken with the trophy today whilst in asda

 

i replied "what was the trophy for"

 

they replied (was two people standing) together with puzzled looks on their face "its the F.A Cup"

 

i walked away saying "nah not really my thing"

 

they both looked gobsmacked that i didnt want to pay to have my picture took with the F.A Cup, but it really doesnt interest me so i didnt bother lol

 

should have seen their faces lol

Yeah. Pisses me off as well when you "must know about football" in this country. You are always asked who you support and when you say something like Surrey you are treated as some sort of thick twat.

 

We spent however millions of pounds on the so called national stadium that is only good for football.

 

How can that be a national stadium?

 

Don't get me wrong I will probably sit down with a pint on saturday to watch the game but I will have to stay at home so I can flick over to the very important cricket game that is on at the same time.

I think it's funny how some people have a preconceived view of you based on your appearance alone; just because you (and me also) are a young(ish ;) ) male with short or shaved hair!

 

It has surprised many such people when I reply as I also hate football and am quite well spoken (normally ;) ) - not what they expect at all :D

When it was conceived it was supposed to be able to athletics as well.

 

National Lottery money was pumped into it for this reason.

 

Then the lovable Ken Bates :xxx: got involved and it evolved into a smaller stadium that was only good for one sport.

 

Whilst football is the national game it is not the only sport played here.

 

A national stadium should be able to cope with many sports not just one.

I thought Cricket was the National game as we invented it? and we are shit at that as well, its just there is more money in Football than any other sport and more populor, i take it or leave it , me, would rather leave it with the choice

I watch the national games when its an important match but i'm not overly bothered, i don't know transfers, names, faces, what teams they've played for, i know what the offside rule is and that's about it.
