A patch of lacquer & some paint has come off the bonnet of our dark grey zed. It's about the size of a dinner plate! Not sure why....it had been parked under a tree for many months without being used so....

 

If anyone has a theory as to why it happened as well as advice about how to fix it (will we need to get the whole bonnet resprayed, cost, where to do this etc) I'd be very grateful!

Hi,

If it was a lime tree or similar, they do drop a nasty sap which can ruin your paintwork!

A bonnet respray should be fairly straightforward to get done though.

exactly, the reason its happened it because you parked it under a tree!
